YouTuber turned boxer Logan Paul has made the headlines in the sport over the past few months thanks to his fight against Floyd Mayweather. While most traditional and hardcore boxing fans and experts have criticized him, Joe Rogan has given a surprising take on ‘The Maverick.’

Paul is fresh off an eight-round exhibition with Mayweather, in which he survived despite many critics saying he would not last. After the fight, Paul faced criticism for a boring fight. However, the famous presenter and UFC commentator addressed that too.

Rogan spoke on an episode of his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ and said, “My friend Guy Sako, who runs Defense Soap, that’s his company, he owns that company that I rave about all the time, he told me today that Logan Paul was one of his wrestlers in the 1990s. And he said he was really f***ing good. He said he’s [Paul] a really talented kid.”

The UFC presenter then spoke about Paul wrestling UFC middleweight contender Paulo Costa and said, “Logan f***ing scrambles on this guy. And like, he looks really good. Like, he can f***ing wrestle.” Thus, these comments from Rogan showed he rates Paul’s wrestling.

Joe Rogan addresses the rumors of Floyd Mayweather knocking out Logan Paul

The UFC commentator’s praise towards ‘The Maverick’ will come as no surprise to fans. Rogan previously said Paul would beat Mayweather in an MMA match. And the famous presenter also spoke about the moment Mayweather allegedly knocked Logan Paul out.

Rogan said, “When you see that, it’s not knocked out, you knuckle heads. Stop talking about fighting. He’s holding on, he’s protecting himself, and he’s controlling Floyd and pushing his head to Floyd’s chest.”

Thus, like many boxing fans, Rogan did not give in to the rumors. He realized Paul was going in to clinch to avoid getting hurt. Something that worked wonders for him throughout the fight. Therefore, these words show that Joe Rogan respects Logan Paul.
