Hardy weighed in at 320 pounds, while Rahman weighed in at 226 pounds. Despite the size difference, Rahman Jr. made the better start but used up his energy to out-box the 320lb, Hardy. However, the former Dallas Cowboys player found his range in the second round, dropping Rahman Jr. against the ropes. Moreover, Hardy also landed a clean shot in the third round but was not considered a knockdown as the ropes kept Rahman Jr. on his feet.

The fight eventually went to the judge’s scorecards, with Hardy scoring 39-36 on all three scorecards. This marked victory for the former UFC fighter, who also secured his first victory in boxing. Moreover, Rahman Jr. also released a statement following his loss. He claimed that he was fine despite getting knocked down twice and also added that he will come back next year as a far better boxer. “Alhamdulillah I’m ok! Thank you all for the prayers I’ll be back 10X better next time. No excuses. Back in action in 2023.” wrote Rahman Jr.

It looks like Jake Paul’s former rival is not too down after getting beaten. However, it could be argued that Hardy was way heavier than Rahman Jr. creating an unfair matchup for him.

In all honesty I think Jake Paul was trying to catch me coming off my first loss. Yeah, he tried to weight drain me down to 200lbs, now he knows that I’m within striking distance of that weight, I don’t think he’ll ever re-visit that opportunity.” said Rahman.
