The boxing fans can finally be at ease. The YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has announced his new opponent following the inability of Tommy Fury to make it to the fight. Hasim Rahman Jr. will take on ‘The Problem Child’ on August 6, 2022. However, days before the fight, Rahman made a shocking revelation.

Rahman used to spar Paul when he started his boxing career and according to him, things didn’t go so well.

Hasim Rahman Jr sparred against Jake Paul with only one hand

As a former sparring partner, Hasim Rahman Jr. already faced his upcoming opponent. However, during that time, Paul was just starting out and Rahman had ample experience under his belt. Hence, he was going easy on Paul.

In fact, according to Rahman, he was using only one hand to fight Paul. He said, “He [Jake Paul] claims it was a heated session. I was really just in there only using one hand like I was one handing this guy.”

Paul got angry and claimed that he beat Rahman for three or four rounds already. According to Rahman, he said, “I just beat you. That’s four rounds to zero. It’s four rounds to one, or whatever. He’s saying it’s one round to three rounds.”

How are both fighters coming into this fight?

The Ohio-born fighter is coming off a winning streak. He defeated former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, twice, once via decision and the other was a final-round knockout. Paul remains undefeated at 5-0.
