When it comes to the grease paint, Mike Tyson is no spring chicken. Outside of the documentaries that featured him, ‘Iron’ Mike has played quite a few roles in movies across genres. The youngest Heavyweight champion, who has in the past acted in films such as ‘Ip Man 3,’ ‘Grudge Match,’ and ‘The Hangover,’ seems to have struck a chord with fans and moviegoers with his role as ‘Robbie’ in the movie ‘Medellin.’

According to the entertainment site, ‘bolavip.com,’ the movie now ranks the most-watched on Amazon Prime. So, according to the official brief, to save his brother from a vicious Medellin-based cartel, the character ‘Reda’ assembles a rag-tag army to carry out an attack in Columbia. The scene where ‘Iron’ Mike slaps the protagonist and his sidekick got the netizens busting up their guts with laughter.

Soumendu Mukherjee appears happy to see Miky Tyson slapping the characters Reda (played by Ramzy Bedia) and Stan (Franck Gastambide). Things would have been different had he punched them, he posits.

The following user says he liked Tyson as an active boxer. The reason – he was the meanest and the most cold-hearted fighter ever. But it seems he doesn’t shy away from showing his most savage side in the motion picture also. However, according to the user, in a way, that’s a blessing in disguise. The bad guys in movies still warrant an excellent beating every so often.

David, appreciating Mike Tyson’s appearance as Robbie, said that he saw the movie in the night and liked it. He mentioned that finding the former champion there was a pleasant surprise, calling ‘Medellin’ an enjoyable film.

Actor-Director Franck Gastambide, who directed the ‘Medellin,’ recalls that for the Columbian leg of the shooting, the local team was fine till they interacted with the French actors and other technicians. However, the full scale of the movie changed when they came across ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson!
