Despite beating Amado Vargas in the amateurs, Sean Garcia failed to produce the same results on the professional stage. Yet it’s Sean’s brother Ryan Garcia who had to eat his own words! As both fighters entered the ring at the Honda Center, Anaheim, ‘King Ry’, was right beside his little bro, yelling and threatening his brother’s opponent as if he was the one about to fight.
However, when the fight began, it became extremely clear Vargas was dominating the fight. The Oxnard, California native, downed Sean in the fourth round to secure victory in the sixth via a vicious body shot. Seeing the whole thing unfold right before their eyes, fans quickly erupted on social media with a plethora of comments.

Right after the fight ended, as people have come to expect, Ryan Garcia quickly took to X, sharing his immediate reaction to his brother’s loss. He wrote, “Damn” with a sad emoji. In a later tweet, he also added, “Sean just kept getting hit with the uppercut and never countered fair play Amado congrats Although I knock out you and all your brothers pretty easy But congrats you guys won”.

Garcia has been dealing with his own issues outside of the ring lately! He was already banned from the sport of boxing for a year. Then the World Boxing Council banned him from participating in any fights with their belt on the line because of his comments on social media. As it turns out, like the WBC, even fans are fed up with Garcia’s antics, so seeing him trash-talk his brother’s opponent in the ring, rubbed fans the wrong way who soon started trolling the 25-year-old.
Is Ryan Garcia turning into Oscar De La Hoya?
Whatever Ryan Garcia does never fails to elicit reactions from the internet, and this was no different. One user mocked the older Garcia brother by claiming Ryan was trying to get into a fight while his little brother was being introduced. ‘King Ry’ is not allowed to box till July 20th, 2025 when his ban from boxing would be lifted.

Someone else suggested Ryan was turning into his promoter, Oscar De La Hoya. It’s worth mentioning that Oscar is often criticized for hogging all the attention even though the former champion retired from the sport years ago.

Another user predicted Ryan Garcia would start a brawl sooner or later. However, thankfully, none of that happened. Probably because Ryan Garcia was escorted out of the arena following his brother’s loss.
Ryan Garcia gonna start a brawl, watch

Meanwhile, this user thought Ryan’s brother wasn’t having the greatest time since the crowd was booing them because of Garcia’s antics. Yet Sean could have just been nervous, and his performance kind of showed that, as he got utterly dominated by Vargas.

Another user speculated that Ryan Garcia might have been arguing with Sean O’Malley. Interestingly, O’Malley was at the venue to watch his UFC colleagues duke it out in a boxing ring.
My guess if Ryan Garcia is talking to Sean O’Malley when he said he was going to kill him
