There are millions of fans out there in the world, following each and every move their favorite boxers make. In a similar situation, fans went through a roller coaster of emotions waiting for their beloved boxer, Andy Ruiz Jr. The ‘Destroyer’ went on a year-long respite after his fight against Luis Ortiz. But a recent sparring video with an intriguing caption captured everyone’s attention.

Ruiz’s last notable fight was a rematch against Anthony Joshua that he lost via unanimous decision. Many in the community blamed his lifestyle behind his loss in the rematch. Ironically, beating the then heavyweight champion Joshua the first time around is what instigated his partying behavior in the first place, per a report from WBN. He has been active on social media, but a recent Instagram post with a cryptic caption pushed fans over the edge.

‘Destroyer’ shared a recent training video on his Instagram account, giving life to a frenzy of comments shrouded in disappointment. The discussion in the comment section is surrounding his return, with a few questioning his intentions to fight.

One user commented, “Is Andy Ruiz gonna fight once the world ends or what.” Insinuating the fact that Ruiz has not fought in over a year.

Another user said, “I know one thing when you do get back in the ring… it better not go pass 5 rounds… got me watching every dam day.” This fan shows their support by expressing their expectations from Ruiz’s next fight.

It’s a fact that Ruiz has fast hands and knows how to set up punches. So, a knockdown or even a KO before the fifth round is not totally out of the picture. However, he needs to get into the ring for that to happen. Only time will tell what happens when he does get into the ring.

Someone else said, “This guy been training for a fight for 3 years and always makes excuse for not fighting.” According to this user, Andy has been training for a third match against Joshua, which is yet to happen. It has been around three years since Ruiz tasted defeat at the hands of AJ.

The rest are Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury. There are no updates on any of those fights.

Another user wrote, “Waiting on your next fight!!” Like many other fans, this user has been waiting for Ruiz to shake off the cobwebs and get back in the ring.
