He was known for his fearlessness inside the boxing ring as a professional boxer. And as a promoter, he has built a reputation for being outspoken and sharing his honest opinion with the world. Oscar De La Hoya recently shared his opinion about the Devin Haney vs. Vasyl Lomachenko ruling and slammed the boxing fans who thought otherwise about the fight. It is safe to say that ‘Golden Boy’ knows how to respond to his haters.

Recently, the 50-year-old took to Twitter to call out the fans. He made a strong claim about getting hate from them. The promoter’s tweet caused a stir among the fans, who did not hesitate to respond to Oscar and call him out. Oscar De La Hoya took to Twitter and claimed that just because he is a celebrity, doesn’t mean he will be ready to take hate from the fans. It seems like the 50-year-old was just looking forward to having some fun and the fans ensured that they made that happen.

It seems like Oscar’s tweet was meant to agitate the fans and to put them on a “blast.” The 50-year-old does have a point in his tweet. Being in the public eye exposes celebrities to receive hate or mean comments from their fans. And gives way to many unsolicited opinions about their professional and personal lives.

And, in continuation to his Tweet, Oscar De La Hoya posted another tweet and wrote, “Shut the f**k up before I bend your legs.” It seems like the fans did go on a blast after the 50-year-old’s tweet. And Oscar himself had to intervene for the fans to stop.

One user thinks that ‘The Golden Boy’ is just hostile when fans tease him. And, wants the promoter to do a charity event in Houston.

Another user joked and claimed that De La Hoya is choosing violence.
