Mayweather feels if it was up to him, he would want to see Benavidez vs. Alvarez in boxing. However, he thinks it is a pity that Canelo is ducking Benavidez. “If it was up to me like we keep saying, we want to see Benavidez. Canelo [is a] hell of a fighter. [In] my personal opinion, he’s ducking Benavidez”, stated ‘TBE’ in his interview with Fight Hub TV. “That’s just what it is. We want to see Benavidez, let’s make it happen,” he concluded. As FIGHT HUB MARCOS tweeted the brief clip, several fans reacted to it.

A user named Hard Times, commented, “Go away, Floyd”. According to them, Mayweather is “irrelevant”.

A user named Dee alluded to a statement that Alvarez once made about not wanting to fight a fellow Mexican.

Meanwhile, a fan named Frankie Jay spoke about Mayweather’s audacity. According to him, Mayweather “has absolutely zero room to say anything about who is ducking who.“. In addition, he accused Mayweather of single-handedly ruining boxing.

Likewise, Harmony Eikaiwa, alluded to Mayweather avoiding boxers in their prime. “Never saw a fighter he wanted to fight at their best. An instant classic of calling the kettle black,” they added by saying.

Similarly, Alex Trujillo spoke about how Mayweather ducked Manny Pacquiao for years.

However, according to TreasureBoxingClub, Floyd Mayweather was not lying.
