After the collapse of his matchup with Rolando Romero, Gervonta Davis is now all set to go head-to-head with 23-year-old Mexican contender, Isaac Cruz. Stepping into this 135 lbs clash, ‘Tank’ is putting his WBA world lightweight title on the line. Cruz and Davis will walk into the Staples Center in Los Angeles on December 5.
Event though Isaac Cruz is a tough opponent who is not afraid to let his hands go, Gervonta Davis remains unfazed. Not only does he feel confident in his abilities, the 27-year-old is already looking past Isaac Cruz.

“My own goal is to make sure I’m okay, the people that’s around me are okay. It’s not just me no more, I’m trying to build an empire where all those can be successful by the end of my career. I don’t really want to be doing this too long,” said Gervonta Davis.
Now that he has also revealed his plans of making it up to the 154 lbs division, it is quite possible that we might end up seeing Gervonta Davis first fight the top-dogs at lightweight, then even welterweight, and he might finish his career at the top of the super-welterweight class.
