Gervonta Davis, who has established himself among the most promising fighters of this generation has made his plans public for his upcoming fight against the undefeated Dominican Republic Olympian Hector Luis Garcia. The duo will meet for Davis’ WBA lightweight title in the main event at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC this Saturday on Showtime pay-per-view.

The highly anticipated bout would see two undefeated boxers facing each other in their prime. ‘Tank’, who has held titles in three weight classes knows the importance of this fight as it would set him up against the biggest fight of his career against his longtime rival Ryan Garcia sometime in April. Interestingly, Hector Luis Garcia has all the potential needed in a fighter to spoil his plan.

The Baltimore native has already undergone enough distractions that hampered his preparation. He was arrested a few days back on charges of domestic violence, however, he was released later but it certainly broke his rhythm. As a result, putting his priorities first, the southpaw is not doing any mistake of overlooking the threat in the name of Garcia. He clarified it in an episode of the Showtime series ‘All Access’.

Keeping this in mind, ‘Tank’ said, “I ain’t gonna lie. He looks a little hungry. A lot of people overlook him, but I ain’t trying to overlook him. He looks like he’s ready. And it could be a life changer for him. You know what I mean? He wants to take my spot. So I’m definitely not looking past him. I’m in a real fight.”
