In a recent interview with SHOWTIME Boxing, Gervonta Davis discussed how he wishes to humiliate Romero with a cruel plan.

Davis said, “For me, I want his coach to stop it. Instead of… me knocking him out, I want his coach to stop it. So I can feel… I beat him and his coach, not just him. Knockout is just a lucky shot. I wanna beat him up bad, I wanna punish him.”
Davis and Romero exchanged a lot of heat when they met face to face, and even on their social media. This gave a rise in aggression amongst both the boxers.
‘Tank’ intends to prove his brutality on Rolando Romero by a stoppage not by the officials but from Rolando’s corner, which will satisfy Davis.
The brutal Gervonta Davis
The 27-year-old Gervonta Davis currently holds the #1 position in his division and has the WBA lightweight title to his name. In his career of 26 professional fights, he impressed his fans by knocking out 24 of his opponents. Likewise, he intends to dominate ‘Rolly’ in his upcoming fight.
Notably, he has a knockout percentage of 92.31% which is one of the highest amongst the active boxers. Before his last fight, he had a streak of 16 knockouts in fights, that started in 2015.

The fans raised questions about Romero’s capability of facing Davis. But his records suggest that he can match up to the fans’ expectations.
