A few days back, the boxing fans suffered an abrupt shock as the Teofimo Lopez vs George Kambosos Jr. fight got postponed to August 14th. As the champ, Lopez, tested positive for COVID-19, everyone involved in staging this fight decided to move it ahead.
However, this didn’t quite impress the undefeated Gervonta Davis. Speaking to ESNEWS, he gave an astonishing take on Teofimo Lopez and detailed why this fight got canceled.
“That boy can’t sell a f**kin ticket, that’s why it got canceled,” he said.

The world knows about the extensive rivalry between Teofimo Lopez and Gervonta Davis. Both of them never spare a chance to take a dig at each other. And this time, it was ‘Tank’ who went all guns blazing against ‘The Takeover’.
Lopez was in contention to face Kambosos Jr. for a long time. Also, after much rigmarole, this contest got set for June 19th. Following Lopez’s positive test, the event received its third date. Initially, it was set for June 5.
‘The Takeover’ grabbed every hardcore boxing lover’s attention by beating the veteran Vasyl Lomachenko in his last fight. He put on a prolific performance, and being the underdog, he fared way better than expected.

That said, his 12-round war with Kambosos Jr. was expected to attract more eyeballs than before.

But fans enjoy the feud between these two and they’re keen to see the duo take up the ring space. However, a fight between these two might not happen as ‘Tank’ has a fight aligned with Mario Barrios for the WBA super-lightweight strap.
