After seven long years of togetherness with Mayweather Promotions, Gervonta Davis is very close to calling it a day. Following the end of the Romero fight on May 28th, Davis’s contract with Mayweather Promotions will also end.
Unfortunately, things have gone bitter and there’s scarcely any enthusiasm on Davis’ part to renew his expiring contract with the Money team. Gervonta Davis, who’s been with Mayweather Promotions since 2015, has now many a reason to object and leave.
The one that, however, stands out, and of which Davis has recently spoken on Instagram, is his promoter’s upcoming fight against Don Moore. Anyway, now that we are at the climax, Davis leaves no chance to throw a jab at Mayweather.

Who is Davis’ target audience as he pens a note to the “chef”? Without a doubt, it is Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather who helped Davis arise as a PPV star ever since they met at Adrien Broner’s training camp in 2015.
What is bothering Gervonta Davis so much about Mayweather at this moment?
Just two weeks before Davis faces Romero, Floyd Mayweather will make his comeback to professional boxing. He will fight former professional boxer and sparring partner Don Moore in Dubai. And this just does not seem to sit right with ‘Tank’ Davis.
He highly fears that Mayweather’s return will overshadow his own upcoming fight. To put Davis’ frustration in simple terms, when Mayweather should be busy promoting Davis’ fight, he is busy promoting himself.’
Anyway, how good does ‘Tank’ look as he approaches his fight on May 28th?

Well, to be honest, ‘Tank’ looks to be in murderous shape as he inches into the fight. At this moment, he holds a professional record of 26 wins and 0 losses. Overwhelmingly, 24, which is 92.3% of his victories, come by a way of knockout.
Davis’ last bout was on December 5, 2021, against Isaac Cruz – a fight in which he displayed excellence. Davis, who won his last fight via UD, is definitely worth the hype he insinuates.
