Rolando Romero has just come off with a controversial stoppage victory against Venezuela native Ismael Barroso. The fight has damaged his credibility a lot as many fans questioned his decision of facing an older opponent. Meanwhile, Rolly Romero has shared his desire of defending his title for the first time against Ryan Garcia. Garcia himself is looking to get back up after his devastating loss against Gervonta Davis. One thing to note is that both boxers have already lost against Tank now. However, since a fight could not be made between him and Garcia in the 30-day negotiation period, a purse bid has been scheduled by WBA for his bout against Ohara Davies.
Recently, he even expressed his frustration over the situation. While talking to a group of reporters he said, “Look, I’mma be honest wit’ you, As much as I want the Ryan sh!t to happen, like let’s be honest – who would you prefer me to fight, Ryan Garcia or Ohara?” He appeared to be furious at Davies and claimed that he would first get Davies and then get the Ryan Garcia fight that he desires. Recently, a clip of his training was shared by Boxing Waffle with the caption- “Rolly Romero’s impenetrable defence”. In the video, he displayed a rather unorthodox manner of defense.
