The sparring footage of Rolando Romero, who last fought Gervonta Davis and suffered a round 6 TKO loss in the ring, was recently leaked. In the clip, ‘Rolly’ Romero sparred with Jhon Ingram from TMT and was knocked out, as fans are saying, in the same method earlier applied by ‘Tank’ Davis. While Romero’s performance led some to speculate how Davis changed the former’s career forever in their last fight, some bluntly commented on his potential future in the squared circle. Romero, who currently, as per BoxRec, remains indefinitely suspended by the New York State Athletic Commission, has yet again surprised the fans of boxing.
Following the circulation of the clip, a number of fans took to Twitter and reacted to it. While the majority speculated Romero’s change of fortune after the match against Davis, others condemned TMT. The incident has also led several fans to question TMT’s ethics.
