Gervonta Davis is now all set to head into battle with Mexican lightweight contender Isaac Cruz on December 5. At 27, ‘Tank’ is already an upcoming pay-per-view star in the contemporary boxing landscape. Gervonta Davis is now stepping into his 26th professional boxing bout with 25 straight wins. ‘Tank’ remains undefeated, and has managed to end 24 fights by way of knockout. ‘Tank’ Davis is currently ranked #8 at lightweight and #1 in the junior lightweight standings, as per the Transnational Boxing Rankings.

On a recent ‘Full Send Podcast’ episode, Gervonta Davis spoke at length about his long-term goals and his future in the sport.

“It’s not even just being a champion no more. I want to be a star where my star power leads to something else, just not boxing. I just don’t want to be a boxer, I want to be more than a boxer, I want to be like a star, like not just a boxing star, that leads to something else, I don’t want my journey to stop at being a boxer.”

“That’s not my journey, I want to branch out and do other stuff. Own other things, probably a movie star, anything just..,” said Davis.

Clearly, Davis wants to expand his presence and make a name for himself in other domains. Speaking about his plans, he revealed he wants to become a much bigger star, even outside the four corners of a boxing ring.
