Gervonta Davis, who now has to serve the remainder of his sentence in jail, explained how he broke the terms of his house arrest. In a recorded call he uploaded on Instagram Story, Davis stated what he exactly did to lead his judge to send him into custody. Davis, who wanted to shed light on the situation, called his judge crazy and accused her of taking advantage of him.

While granting Gervonta Davis a house arrest for 90 days, his judge ordered the boxer to stay at the ordinary place of his trainer as residing at his own place would mean accessing comfort and luxury. As Davis himself expressed, “She wanted me to stay in a one-(bedroom) apartment where I couldn’t have my kids or nothing and things like that.” However, failing to comprehend the situation he was in, Davis, who “couldn’t take that,” purchased $3.4 million worth of property. By doing so, he violated the terms of his house arrest and subsequently led Judge Althea M. Handy to send him into custody.
