Gervonta Davis has finally decided to part ways with Chrome Hearts following a controversial week. The Baltimore native made headlines when he defeated Frank Martin in June 2024 while wearing a whopping $100,000 one-off custom-made shoes promoting the brand. However, it looks like the partnership is all but over.
‘Tank’ has been asking the brand to sponsor him officially for a while now. He loves the brand and also owns a Chrome Hearts boxing trunk, a boxing bag, and a beanbag chair, which he was seen seated on recently when he unveiled his new hairdo (the beanbag chair also reportedly costs $100k). But it looks like both parties failed to reach an agreement resulting in the 30-0 boxer announcing his decision to stop working with the brand on an Instagram Live session.

Six months after the Frank Martin fight, the Baltimore native, a few days ago, took to his Instagram Live and revealed that he will no longer wear any Chrome Hearts merchandise. The 30-year-old claimed that the brand has stopped showing him the love and care he feels he deserves. He declared, “I don’t got on Chrome, we off that Chrome s**t. D**k eating too much on that Chrome s**t. N**gas stealing the flows and all that,” claiming that everyone is trying to steal his designs. Chrome Hearts makes exclusive designs, specifically for the parties involved. So, we can understand how disheartening it would be for ‘Tank’ to see similar designs in the market after spending $100,000 just on their shoes.

He further added, “They not even showing a n**ga no love or none of that. Y’all think y’all about to keep getting money … We elsewhere with that s**t,” stating that he would find a new brand instead. Gervonta Davis has been trying to land a brand to sponsor him in an official capacity. He even penned down an Instagram story to Chrome Hearts a week ago, asking them to do the same.
Tank wrote, “@chromeheartsofficial I think it’s time for us to come to an agreement..Becuz my influence is crazy rn fam,” urging the brand to sponsor him. There is no doubt that the Baltimore native is a well-known figure in the boxing world. Furthermore, his influence would have helped the brand to attract more personalities. However, it looks like an agreement was not reached.

A sad breakup
In a recent viral picture where Gervonta Davis showed his new ponytail to the world, his beanbag chair became the highlight. While fans had mixed reactions to the hairstyle, everyone took notice of the Chrome Heart beanbag in a positive manner. Not only that. The same image also had a Chrom Heart baby stroller right beside the beanbag chair.
The amount of stuff that ‘Tank’ owns from the brand showcases his love for them and how much he wanted this deal to go through. Last year, several photos went viral on social media showcasing ‘Tank’ in possession of several Chrome Hearts boxing gloves and a punching bag during training.

A partnership would have been profitable for both parties. However, now that the relationship is done, Tank might target a new sponsorship deal. Considering the influence that the Baltimore native holds, it won’t be difficult for him to find a new brand partner. Furthermore, it would be interesting to see how Gervonta Davis would shock the boxing world under a new brand.
