This weekend is going to bring epic for the boxing world. The T-Mobile Arena is all set to adorn probably the most interesting clash between the pound-for-pound king Canelo Alvarez and the undefeated pugilist Dmitry Bivol.
The fight is going to be a memorable one, as the Mexican icon is moving up to the light heavyweight division for the second time. The undisputed super-middleweight champion is coming for the first time in the last three years on Cinco de Mayo Weekend. Notably, this date and site are like a festival for boxing fans in Las Vegas because it brings in boxing’s biggest clashes.

Interestingly, ahead of this mega-event, the top-notch names of boxing made predictions. Some speculated that it’s going to be an easy win for Canelo. While some are of the opinion that Dmitry Bivol has the potential to pull the biggest upset.
According to the former WBA interim lightweight titlist, Rolly Romero, Canelo is the face of Boxing. Praising the icon, he said, “I’m not going against Canelo.”
Whereas the former welterweight champion Tim Bradley believed that Canelo still got some weaknesses and he could be outboxed. He said, “I don’t see Canelo stopping this guy. I really don’t and if he does, stop him. Bro, there is no denying Canelo his spot bro in legacy.”
However, Bradley narrated the whole dynamic of Alvarez and Bivol before reaching this big prediction.
Few others predicted a tough battle for Canelo
The former promoter of Alvarez and boxing, great Oscar De La Hoya, praised the Mexican star and labeled him as ‘The Best’.
He said, “Bivol has a real shot but Canelo right now is high on confidence, which is a plus for him and he is a hard worker. He’s a disciplined fighter. So that’s what I love about him.”
According to Bernard Hopkins, Alvarez is a ‘Machine’. He predicted that the fight will speed up as per Alvarez’s wish.
Top Rank’s Bob Arum also believed that Bivol couldn’t hurt Alvarez He said, “I can’t see he [Bivol] gonna beat him.”
Whereas, the unified welterweight champion, Errol Spence Jr, said, “I got Canelo.” However, he did not think Alvarez will knock out Bivol.
On the other hand, Gervonta Davis said, “Canelo over everybody.” According to him, Canelo is unmatchable as of now.
The former super-middleweight champion, Caleb Plant, who lost his title to Alvarez a few months back, left everything in tomorrow’s clash. He said, “we just see how it plays out.”

Though David Benavidez warned Canelo of Bivol’s power, he said, “I feel like Canelo he’d probably tie him.”
Finally came Teofimo Lopez, a former unified lightweight champion, who believed that it was not new for Alvarez. He said, “I do see Canelo just out landing out boxing him.”
