Ryan Garcia trolls Gervonta Davis for carrying a purse
Gervonta Davis would meet his archrival Ryan Garcia in a day. Though younger to him by a few years, Garcia comes from the same school of speed punching and shares the Baltimorean’s penchant for an early stoppage. After many ups and downs over the past few months, the duo is set to meet at the T Mobile Arena in Nevada on April 22.
Last month, as per the schedule, they had two pre-fight press conferences. The first one took place in New York on March 8. The boxers spoke after several dignitaries, including their trainers, talked at length about their charges. As expected, Davis and Garcia harangued each other. The former was heard saying, “He’s getting an ass-whooping. That’s what he’s getting.”
But the second press conference at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles the following days proved a bit more heated. During his turn, Garcia spoke about his left hook, to which Davis responded that it was his only potent weapon and lambasted the Californian for not being a ‘complete fighter.‘ Very soon, the talks converged upon hilarity, to everyone’s amusement.
Trading accusations of bemoaning fashion choices, Gervonta Davis first took a dig at Garcia over his footwear. “You got heels on,” he said. Soon the latter’s comeback followed, “I got heels on, okay… And you had a purse on yesterday. Shut up. You got one on now. Yeah, come on, man. Imma beat him, and imma knock him out, that’s it. See you April 22.”

Davis continued, “Take them big ass pants off. Do that.” But it seems his Californian rival had come fully prepared. He said, “Don’t even talk about style. I don’t even know what you were wearing yesterday. You look like you fell through a rainbow. Just stop. You look like you danced with a unicorn. Just stop, man. You woke up with the 2000s vintage store. Just stop right now, please.”
