Teofimo Lopez and George Kambosos Jr. will finally get their hands on each other in a 12-round title clash on October 4 in New York, USA. After multiple delays, the unified lightweight championship bout is imminent and the Australian boxer, Kambosos Jr., seems ready to unleash his best side.
He has been confident about overpowering ‘Take Over’ throughout the build-up of the contest. Besides, Kambosos Jr. also believes that cutting down to the championship weight (135 lbs) will be extremely difficult for the reigning champion, Teofimo Lopez. While addressing his plans in the lightweight division, George Kambosos Jr. also pointed that Teofimo Lopez isn’t really the best at 135.
In a chat with FightHype, he said, “Like I said, I want to fight the best fighters in the lightweight division. You know you have got this guy, he is looking at the 140 division. He is looking at different guys. But you gotta focus on Kambosos. Because I know that weight cut is going to be brutal. I know it’s going to be harder than ever.”
