The much-anticipated fight between the unified lightweight champ, Teofimo Lopez, and George Kambosos Jr. will take place on June 5 on Triller. This will be Lopez’s first prime title defense, wherein he’ll take up the ring space against one of the toughest opponents of his career.

But, prior to reaching the ring, the underdog Kambosos Jr. has already kicked off the trash talk game to get into Lopez’s head.

Recently, he took it to his official Instagram handle wherein he cited ‘The Takeover’ as the ‘Pepperoni Champ’. He even released a hilarious video of Lopez to compare him with a Pepperoni pizza.

The troll which was directed at ‘The Take Over’ taking off his shirt at their recent confrontation caught the attention of Kambosos Jr’s countryman. UFC featherweight champion, Alexander ‘The Great‘ Volkanovski couldn’t hold himself back from sharing his reaction in the comments.

Kambosos Jr. is one sturdy prospect in the 135-pound division. Despite being undefeated in his boxing run until now, ‘Ferocious’ has predominantly stayed out of the limelight. In fact, he made himself viable for a title shot by beating Lee Selby in his last outing.

That said, the Teofimo Lopez fight might be just the biggest turnaround for Kambosos Jr. A win over the unified lightweight king will put him on top of the 135-pound roster, Furthermore, this will see him open himself up for even bigger fights.
