Ahead of the mega-event of boxing, the walking legends moved one by one into the official room to choose their gloves. First, the Mexican star went inside and took a look. He picked two pairs of gloves. His long-time trainer Eddy Reynoso unboxed one pair and used it for the trial. Canelo laced one pair to check the size. Later, he signed the gloves and exited.

Following Canelo’s departure, the unified middleweight champ Golovkin entered the room. His teammates had entered before and were inspecting the gloves. Meanwhile, the man in charge of the entire process warned GGG’s teammate, as he was trying to lace gloves himself.

Keeping in mind the results of previous bouts, the 31-year-old is a bigger favorite. Though it was controversial, Canelo won the first fight by a small margin. A year later, they met again in T-Mobile Arena. This time Canelo created a bigger difference. He outboxed GGG on all terms except jabbing. Jab has been an amazing weapon in the GGG’s arsenal.
