This has been a busy week for Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin. The duo has to undergo several formalities before the highly anticipated trilogy this weekend. Yesterday, they picked their leather through which they will unleash their skills and wrath in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for the third time.
While picking gloves, Golovkin’s teammate received a warning.

Ahead of the mega-event of boxing, the walking legends moved one by one into the official room to choose their gloves. First, the Mexican star went inside and took a look. He picked two pairs of gloves. His long-time trainer Eddy Reynoso unboxed one pair and used it for the trial. Canelo laced one pair to check the size. Later, he signed the gloves and exited.
Following Canelo’s departure, the unified middleweight champ Golovkin entered the room. His teammates had entered before and were inspecting the gloves. Meanwhile, the man in charge of the entire process warned GGG’s teammate, as he was trying to lace gloves himself.

Next, GGG entered the room and tried one pair.

The undisputed super middleweight champ is coming fresh out of a loss to light-heavyweight champ Dmitry Bivol. To face Golovkin, he had to move back to 168lbs.

Keeping in mind the results of previous bouts, the 31-year-old is a bigger favorite. Though it was controversial, Canelo won the first fight by a small margin. A year later, they met again in T-Mobile Arena. This time Canelo created a bigger difference. He outboxed GGG on all terms except jabbing. Jab has been an amazing weapon in the GGG’s arsenal.
As of now, when Canelo is aging towards his prime, ‘Triple G’, 40 is in the fading days of his boxing career. Though he is coming out of a win earlier this year, it would not be an easy fight for Golovkin.
