worst hw champion ever
— lean™️ (@leanmma___) October 8, 2022
User @leanmma_ did not mince words while calling Fury the worst heavyweight champion.
This is just embarrassing man. Imagine being at your absolute peak in the heavyweight division and taking fights against someone that should be retired
— Raz (@PlatinumRaz) October 8, 2022
This is why boxing annoys me. Why would anyone tune in to a fight they know that there's no chance Fury is gonna lose? Boxing fans deserve competitive fights. Disgraceful.
— tony (@tonyv1299) October 8, 2022
Meanwhile, a few fans were outraged at the prospect of a peak heavyweight facing an opponent who is far past his prime. Moreover, user @tonyv1299 mentioned that boxing fans deserve more competitive fights.
He literally beat Chisora to a pulp 7/8 years ago in a southpaw stance, now we see a trilogy after Chisora has lost 3 of he’s last 4 fights and at an age of 38 years old, remember this is the perceived best heavyweight on the planet, and self proclaimed best heavyweight ever! 🤐
— Stefan Broo🐏e (@StefanBroome) October 8, 2022
Similarly, user @StephanBroome was quick to point out that Fury had easily beaten Chisora previously. And that the fight was unnecessary as Chisora had also lost 3 of his last 4 fights.
I’d rather see Mike Tyson come out of retirement to fight Fury. At least he’d have more chance.
— The Cherry Dude (@TheCherryDude) October 8, 2022
On the other hand, @TheCherryDude felt that Fury should rather fight a retired Mike Tyson. This, in turn, will ensure a more fair fight.
Chisora putting Joshua to shame here. Derek signed 3 times to fight Fury, Joshua 0.
— Dan (@DJKBOX101) October 8, 2022
In fairness, not many other top heavyweights are available.
Pointless fight mind.
— Jeff Oakley (@jeff_oakley1990) October 8, 2022
User @DJKBOX101 mentioned that Chisora put Joshua to shame by signing up for the third time. Moreover, @jeff_oakley1990 also mentioned that a lot of heavyweights weren’t available. Even though it was a pointless fight.
I hope no-one pays anything towards this fight, what a total disappointment Fury is
