Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou may go down as the biggest crossover fights in combat sports history. Despite all the criticism, the fight is scheduled to take place on October 28th and has a lot of eyes turned in its direction. Fury has tried to secure a bout with many fighters since his last fight against Derek Chisora last year. Well, no concrete deal could come to fruition due to numerous reasons. But now Fury has taken up the challenge posed by a former UFC Heavyweight Champion.

One is the giant of modern boxing, while the other is claimed to be the heaviest hitter in combat sports history. Both titans will be stepping into the squared circle against each other in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Many critics are upset about Fury’s decision, as many believe he threw up great potential fights for an easy fight. Fury’s promoter has addressed the criticism of the bout.

In a recent interview with Boxing News, Frank Warren shut down the critics criticizing the upcoming fight with Tyson Fury. Therefore, many fans are disappointed with Fury’s decision of taking the offer to fight Francis Ngannou. So, Warren shut down all the hate with just three effective words.

Warren said, “Don’t buy it.” He then also added, “But it’s going to be a burster, everybody’s going to watch it, it’s going to be a massive event. It’s going to be a fight between the best, both of them best in their respective disciplines.

The WBC Champion going against the former UFC Heavyweight Champion will definitely be interesting to watch.

 

Warren has assured that it’s going to be a great event. No matter what anybody says. A couple of days ago, Warren also talked about how Queensbury Promotions has tried to send contracts to every Heavyweight fighter possible but they were shot down by the prospective fighter’s team.

In a conversation with William Hill, Frank Warren talked about the struggles he’s been facing in finalizing a fight for ‘The Gypsy King’ throughout the entire year. He stated that they have been rejected by almost every fighter that they have reached out to, for his next fight.

Warren explained, “We made offers; that’s a fact, but there’s not been one offer to Tyson Fury this year.” He also mentioned that a couple of times they’ve come so close to finalization that they’ve even gone ahead and booked the Wembley Stadium three times, but every time they had to cancel the dates. So, the negotiations with Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk, Zhilei Zhang, and Andy Ruiz Jr, they all fell apart.

So now, Fury picked up the bout against Ngannou and is getting ready for the exhibition event. The fight has the potential to beat the record of Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor.
