Combat sports fans are buzzing. Francis Ngannou, former UFC Heavyweight champ, is gearing up to fight Tyson Fury, the current Heavyweight boxing king. Adding to the excitement? Ngannou’s training secret. He’s getting tips from the legendary Mike Tyson. The fight is a titan clash with high stakes. It’s set for October 28th, part of Saudi Arabia’s grand Riyadh season. This bout goes beyond titles. It’s about legacy, power, and being the “biggest, baddest man on the planet.”

Moreover, Fury has made blatant claims about Mike training Ngannou. According to ‘The Gypsy King’ it doesn’t matter if he’s trained by Muhammad Ali or even Bruce Lee. This is because he will knock him out anyway. However, Iron Mike’s opinion of Francis is relatively high. In his regard, Ngannou punches “harder than anybody.” Furthermore, in a recent interview, the MMA star has detailed his learnings from the boxing legend.

Francis Ngannou recently spoke on the “Battle of the Baddest” podcast. He talked about how Mike Tyson in his corner isn’t just about techniques; it’s about the aura and energy he brings. Francis is learning Tyson’s peek-a-boo style to dodge Fury’s strong jab. Ngannou also stressed Tyson’s broader impact.

As Ngannou said, “He is bringing a lot. Like Tyson is the best heavyweight technician, maybe with that, that’s ever right for me. That’s not a doubt because you can’t put a video of Mike Tyson and show a five-year-old kid, like, “Look how to talk, look how to work, look how to raise your guard, look this is like perfection,” and it is the fact, which is not the case for so many people.”

However, it looks like Fury is quite disappointed that Mike Tyson, the boxing idol he is named after, is on Francis’ side.

‘The Gypsy King’ feels ‘Iron Mike’ should be on his side

Tyson Fury is disappointed that Mike Tyson is coaching Francis Ngannou. In a Sky Sports interview, Fury said it’s “sad” that Mike Tyson, his namesake, is coaching Ngannou. Furthermore, he believes Tyson should be in his corner, not Ngannou’s. Fury also said that no matter what Ngannou learns, things will change in the ring. He quoted, “everyone’s got a plan until they get punched in the face.”

Moreover, ‘The Gypsy King’ also speculated why Tyson is coaching the Cameroonian-French fighter. He thinks it might be about career comparisons. Later, he also expressed that he is uncertain about the reason but thinks he might have offended Tyson. Adding a smug statement, he also suggested it could be because he’s been a champion longer than Tyson was.
