‘Judgement Day’ returns. But instead of the cyborgs fighting in the streets to save Earth, two boxers will be dishing out punches in the ring. In one way or another, it’s the month of crossover boxing. Starting with the MF & DAZN: X Series 10—The Prime Card next week, fans will witness one of the biggest jamborees when Tyson Fury takes on Francis Ngannou on October 28. Incidentally, the Heavyweight champion’s half-brother, Tommy Fury, meets KSI at the Manchester Arena on October 14.

The scion of the Fury clan remains unbeaten. On February 26, he proved a point by defeating long-time archrival Jake Paul by a split decision. A rematch with the American YouTuber-turned-boxer remains. However, by July’s end, it became clear that ‘TNT’ would take on the much-vaunted match against KSI. Like Fury, the Misfits boss remains an unbeaten boxer despite the Joe Fournier setback in May. But as an expert foresees, this time around, Tommy Fury won’t get a chance to have a cake and eat it, too.

Unmasking the challenge Tommy Fury faces: Tony Bellew

Former WBC Cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew returned in 2018 after a knockout loss to Oleksandr Usyk. Now a boxing pundit with DAZN, the 6 feet and 3 inches tall ‘Bomber’ has a different take on Tommy Fury’s prospects against KSI. @KSI News shared a short clip of Bellew’s recent interview through its X account yesterday. According to Bellew, this will be Tommy Fury’s most challenging battle.

Besides the Fury-KSI bout, there are other cards as well. A Bridgerweight contest between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis also features among those. So, according to Tony Bellew, the American YouTuber-turned-boxer-turned-pro wrestler might enjoy the edge over the Bellator fighter. Switching over to the Tommy Fury and KSI’s cruiser-bout match, the Liverpool-born Bellew believes the former may eventually triumph. However, he added, “but I think this will be the hardest fight of his career because JJ has something about him, where he will just let his hands go.

According to Bellew, when Jake Paul faced Tommy Fury, he wouldn’t let go of his hands freely to make a connect. He appeared afraid and a bit nervous. However, unlike ‘The Problem Child,’ KSI might not hesitate and have a go at Fury. Hence, though he exuded a fair amount of confidence in Tommy Fury’s win, it wasn’t something he seemed 100% sure about.

Given that KSI hasn’t had much chance to fight against a thoroughbred boxer, it probably gives much credence to Tommy Fury’s higher chances of winning. But as Tony Bellew stated, it is a fight where ‘TNT’ has to exercise utmost caution from going reckless.

KSI has shown that he tends to go for early stoppages. So far, three of the five matches he participated in came his way through knockouts. If not for the no-contest, Fournier’s fight would have been the fourth.
