Sylvester Stallone, whose real name is Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone, is best known for playing the title characters in two film series: the Rocky and the Rambo films. He became a universal heartthrob after his “Rocky” was released in 1976. The 80s saw him act in some of the most memorable roles. The good look, combined with a chiseled physique, made him a household name throughout the last two decades of the twentieth century.

He is a recipient of many awards and honors. As far as boxing goes, for his “Lifetime Cinematic Achievement in Boxing,” he received an award from the Boxing Writers Association of America in 2006. Four years later, boxing’s International Hall of Fame inducted Stallone.

The actor, who will turn seventy-seven this July, is still very active and busy.

Sylvester Stallone’s friendship with another Hollywood legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is also a well-known story. However, there was a time when the two superstars were bitter rivals. They could barely stand each other.

Thankfully, the feud between the two actors is over, and they’ve co-starred in two films together since then: “The Expendables” and “Escape Plan.”

There was a time when the custodians of recent memories were the small, unknown bylanes of cities and towns. That’s where you could come across the long-forgotten magazine editions and other related paraphernalia with patience and time. The onset of the internet, however, changed the balance. Forget the recent past; even years-old items are easily accessible at a click.
