The Twitter battle between Davis and Benn started after Davis’ arrest. As the news broke out, Benn Tweeted, “@Gervontaa don’t throw stones if you live in a glass house little man.”

Following that, Tank Davis quickly retaliated by saying, “Get off them drugs and come holla at me..I’ll show a glass house and a glass jaw you fu*k bum! Cold bum at that!”

A recent Tweet made by Benn read, “@Gervontaa them threats don’t work here. Focus on staying out of prison..”

This feud did not begin at this point, though. It references back to the time when Benn’s bout was called off because he tested positive for drug use.

When Gervonta Davis slammed Conor Benn’s fight

Conor Benn was scheduled to take on Chris Eubank Jr. on October 8 at London’s O2 arena. However, VADA tests revealed that Benn tested positive for an illegal substance named clomifene. The WBC later removed Benn from the welterweight rankings.

Tank Davis took to Twitter to criticize Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn stating, “Why they didn’t ban Eddie Hearn for still trying to have fights after he knew a fighter was cheating and still tried to continue with the boxing match?”

Benn had not made any tweet or statement about Davis at the time. However, after Davis’ arrest, Benn took this opportunity to slam the American boxer.
