Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather is the richest boxer to ever live. One doesn’t earn the moniker ‘Money’ in one of the highest paying sports for no reason. Mayweather’s lavish lifestyle and crazy purchases have landed him this moniker. However, Mayweather is also a very smart investor.
Back in 2018, Mayweather revealed his part in the One Vanderbilt hotel in New York City. “I’ve been working with my real estate buddies, my real estate guys. The project I’m working on now is called One Vanderbilt. It’s going to be the tallest building in New York City.”

The 1,301-foot long skyscraper is one of the tallest buildings in New York City, just shy of 432 Park Avenue and One World Trade Center.

Mayweather was the highest-paid athlete during his prime, sometimes earning hundreds of millions of dollars from one fight alone. During his career, however, Floyd was not careful with his money. He would fight, earn millions, then blow it up till he fought again. In order to have a sustainable flow of cash, ‘Money’ May had to start investing well.
