The rivalry for the best between Floyd Mayweather, and Manny Pacquiao, produced one of the biggest boxing contest of all times. Though the 50-0 legend, emerged victorious, Pacquiao’s skills stunned him. The fight was so close that it was hard to pass verdict even after 12 rounds of the slugfest.

Recently, while talking about the Filipino legend, Mayweather passed a three-word remark.

A journalist named, Daniel Yanofsky, reported it on Twitter. He wrote, “Floyd Mayweather called Manny Pacquiao a “future world champion.” I think he meant Hall of Famer. Or something of that nature.”

Probably, something in his head has triggered that led to such a bizarre remark that makes no sense in the current scenario.

Albeit, Mayweather’s remark would have made sense if Pacquiao had not announced his retirement.

Last year in September, the southpaw legend decided to hang up his boxing gloves. After dominating the ring with his speed and power for over two decades, Pacquiao reached this conclusion.

As per ESPN, he informed about his retirement by saying, “It is difficult for me to accept that my time as a boxer is over. Today, I am announcing my retirement. I never thought that this day would come. As I hang up my gloves, I would like to thank the whole world, especially the Filipino people, for supporting Manny Pacquiao.”
