Recently, the pugilistic phenomenon who appeared on a ‘Q and A’ session with ‘SportsIcon’ commented on NBA players taking time off from games. However, this comment might just put the star on a path of irrevocable wrath from NBA players, especially Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

During their ‘Q and A’ session, the host, Jared Halt, asked Mayweather about what the average person could learn from athletes.

Among other things, Mayweather replied saying, “With the NBA players, they will play a couple games and then take a couple games off. That’s not cool. With that type of money, if you’re not hurt, you need to be out there playing. These people pay a lot of money for the NBA players to entertain.”

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is currently recovering from an ankle injury. And Mayweather’s comment puts LeBron in the line of fire.

Recently, NBA analyst Ric Bucher had shared his doubts regarding LeBron’s injury. Bucher was talking at the Speak for Yourself show along with hosts Marcellus Wiley and Emmanuel Acho.

During their conversation about LeBron’s ankle sprain, Bucher remarked, “LeBron James goes down with a high-ankle sprain. They call timeout. He goes to the bench, then he goes back in the game.”

He further delves into his suspicions, going as far as mentioning, “He’s not as quite hurt as we thought he was.”

Bucher gave special emphasis on the fact that LeBron scored a 3-pointer despite having a sprained ankle.

Ric Bucher’s doubts are worth pondering over. As to score a 3-pointer with a sprained ankle seems pretty unbelievable. But such assumptions could be proven wrong, as ‘King James’ can be considered a modern marvel.

Similarly, ESPN First Take’s Stephen A. Smith also addressed his doubts about Anthony Davis missing 23 games due to calf and Achilles issues.
