The WBA lightweight titlist recently joined an episode of the podcast ‘I AM ATHLETE’ to discuss his career and upcoming fight.

While interacting, the host asked the southpaw gun, “Every casual fight fan here or hardcore fight fan is dying to see you and Ryan Garcia get in the ring.”

To which Davis replied, “So why would you turn it down?”

According to the host, when Gervonta Davis was close to bringing a fight on Ryan Garcia, Garcia turned it down. The lightweight contender did it because he was offered a massive payday for the Manny Pacquiao’s fight like 15 to 20 million dollars. Which was tough to turn down. However, the fight between Pacquiao and Garcia never reached fruition.

On the other hand, Davis claimed that ‘KingRy’ will certainly get more if he locks horns with him.

Finally, the host asked ‘Tank’, “Is the fight makable this year between you two guys?”

Davis said, “Yes if everything go good with me and Rolly.”
