Often called the ‘Future of Boxing’, Curmel Moton has been the talk of the town. Recognizing his prowess, the legendary Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather took the 17-year-old under his wing.

His skills are unmatched, with an amateur record of 156-7, he is one of the best-to-go professionals with two fights to his name, both of which ended in knockouts by the newcomer. Moton responded to a fan asking what the most difficult part was about being a boxer in the industry. Evidently, Moton’s opinion on the fans asking for too much is understood. He said, “I wish boxing fans appreciate hit and not get hit fighters more,” asking fans to appreciate the most fundamental idea of boxing. Boxing revolves around being able to land hits and having a defence strong enough to avoid receiving any which has in today’s world been described as ‘boring’ by some.

Moton further wrote, “Fans just wanna see brawling, fighters like shakur or Devin y’all come them boring when they fights really be like art fr,” appreciating Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney’s boxing styles. Fans make the community what it is, but it becomes a problem when it gets a little out of hand. As Moton gets more and more representation on social media, he gets more PPVs for his next fight. Curmel Moton announces his next fight
In September of the previous year, the boxer, mentored by Mayweather, made a remarkable pro debut against Ezequiel Flores, securing a groundbreaking first-round knockout victory. Just two months later, he continued his winning streak, facing the more experienced Hunter Turbyfill and securing another first-round knockout. On March 30th, as the boxer announced on social media, he is fighting his next fight. However, the opponent’s identity remains undisclosed.

The 49-2 amateur record fighter shared a simple note on X (formerly Twitter), stating “March 30th.” Moton posted more of his preparation, by uploading a photo with three sparring partners. He wrote, “First day of camp start off with ten solid rounds appreciate the work. March 30th we going 3-0.” giving a tease of all his hard work for his next fight
