Moreover, this will be Mayweather’s return to Japan after he made quick work of the 20-year-old kickboxing sensation Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018. It was reported that ‘Money’ took home $9 million for the 3-round bout, which looked pre-decided.

Now the former champ will look to pull off another heist in this exhibition bout. Many feel that Mayweather will easily beat Asakura, who has a 16-3 record in MMA. The difference in the boxing skills between the two is massive and the Japanese MMA star might face some trouble boxing with one of the best to ever do it.

Moreover, Mayweather’s recent girlfriend also gave her predictions for the fight. In an interview with ES News, she was asked to give her prediction, and she seemed confident that her boyfriend would get the job done.

Well you know he’s going to win,” she said and added that it would be over in the 1st round. Money’s latest girlfriend has faith in him to get the victory, which he likely will.

Heading into the fight, Mayweather will certainly be the favorite to win the fight. Even at 45 years old, he is still one of the best boxers in the world. Moreover, he has also shown that he can knock down younger fighters as he did with Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018. Nasukawa was knocked down 3 times during the fight and even cried after losing to Money.

However, Asakura looked confident and stated that he will not suffer the same fate as his countryman. He stated that although he was an MMA fighter, he will use Mayweather to boost his own value after beating him. “I’m an MMA fighter but I’m going to use this opportunity and I’m going to use him to raise my name and value internationally. I will win this fight,” said Asakura in the press conference.
