The wait is almost over. Fans can now almost ‘touch’ the Floyd Mayweather vs. Mikuru Asakua fight. After the New Year fight in December 2018 against Tenshin Nasukawa, the 50-0 and retired Mayweather is all set to return to and grace the Super Saitama ring. Although 45, Mayweather will take on a 30-year-old Mikuru Asakura from Rizin. Even though ‘TBE’ will enter the fight as a retired and former pro boxer in the ring, he will overshadow Asakura in various respects walking in.
His star power and resume are such that even though Asakura is in his prime, it is Mayweather whose name is selling the fight. According to Mayweather, he is always in control, and in this fight, he will dictate the role of a “puppet master” pulling the strings. In a recent interview, ‘Money’ claimed that it was all up to him if Asakura managed to land “one punch” on him in the ring.
