Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul was unquestionably one of the most awaited bouts of this year. This fight was earlier booked for February 20, but somehow it got postponed. This contest gathered substantial eyeballs even before reaching the squared circle, but its postponement left boxing fans surprised.
Recently, Floyd Mayweather’s uncle, Jeff Mayweather, was interviewed by Fred Talks Fighting. Here, he made his point on why he doesn’t see the Mayweather vs Paul fight happening.
“That fight’s not happening. I don’t think it’s gonna happen. And if it was gonna happen, it would already be. You gotta realize, Floyd is doing something, you gotta promote it for like about, I say, at least four to six months. And let that fight build you know to its maximum capacity,” he said.

The former boxer stayed blunt with his notion of this fight. He felt that a usual Floyd Mayweather fight gets marketed at least four to six months prior to its fight date so that it sells itself in exuberant numbers. But, the scenario with the Paul vs Mayweather fight has remained totally different.
Jeff Mayweather believed if this fight was supposed to happen, it would have happened anyway on its scheduled date. Furthermore, the bout’s postponement and the mammoth weight class difference between the duo might just extract the excitement from this clash.
Despite all these claims, Floyd Mayweather asserted on fighting Logan Paul in 2021.

Will Floyd Mayweather stick to his words?
‘Pretty Boy’ took it to his Instagram a few days back to shut the naysayers who believed that he wouldn’t contend with Logan Paul. Mayweather surprised everyone by claiming to fight ‘several’ times in 2021 alongside competing against ‘Maverick’.
‘Money’ fought in an exhibition fight in 2018, and this will be his first ring outing since then. However, the postponement of his fight with Logan Paul has definitely derailed his comeback.

Mayweather has remained a man of his words throughout his career. He’s firm on coming back to the ring no matter who the opponent is, and what weight classes he competes at.
