Right from the start, there was chaos—the timekeepers failed to stop the fight after the scheduled 2 minutes, a clear violation of the exhibition match rules. Then, controversy struck when Mayweather landed a shot on the back of Gotti’s head, prompting the referee to step in. But in a surprising twist, the referee was dismissed from the ring mid-fight and replaced by another official.

Mayweather, visibly frustrated, tried to argue that his punch was legal. Despite the confusion, the fight continued, ultimately going the full distance.
