Although Floyd Mayweather has retired from professional boxing, he cannot be away from the sport. Time and again, he has played exhibition fights to entertain his fans. However, now there is a possibility that Mayweather might make his professional boxing return to face the current welterweight world champion, Errol Spence Jr.
Gerald Tucker, the trainer of Mayweather, hints at the return of Pretty Boy in a professional match in his recent interview.

When an interviewer asked Tucker about the probability of Mayweather fighting Errol Spence Jr. in his professional comeback, Tucker had a confident perception of Mayweather’s return.
He said, “I’m optimistic man, I’m super positive and um, I could see it happening. I could definitely say it’s a possibility.”
Tucker thinks Floyd Mayweather can risk his record to fight one more professional match against the current world champion. Moreover, he supports it by praising his attributes and is confident that Mayweather will carry the expectations of the fans.

It seems Mayweather will be back to carry forward his legacy in professional boxing. Subsequently, he might face the world champion, Errol Spence Jr.
Although there are no such confirmations on who will fight Mayweather in his next bout, surely, Mayweather will step in the ring soon.
Floyd Mayweather to fight in May
Floyd had retired in 2017, after facing the UFC legend Conor McGregor in his last bout. After that, he has stepped in the ring only for exhibition matches, entertaining the boxing fraternity.
Mayweather was in talks for his next bout against the Youtuber, Money Kicks. It was announced in December that the fight will take place in UAE in May.

It was a unique event as the fight was organized on the helipad at a high level from the ground. Unfortunately, the negotiations of the fight broke down, which might cancel the event, but Mayweather will surely fight in Dubai in May as he has claimed.
Nothing is sure as of now, but we can assume that he might fight Errol Spence. Jr. in his next professional bout.
