A renowned boxing promoter has come out guns blazing to criticize boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and his upcoming UK exhibition bout. The former five-division champion will face former reality TV show star Aaron Chalmers in the O2 arena on February 25. Moreover, this will be the first time ‘Money’ has competed in the UK. Despite this, British promoter, Eddie Hearn has predicted a brutal fate for the fight.
Many speculated that the fight will do good based on Mayweather’s drawing power. However, it seems that the fans are not interested in paying a whopping $38.53 for the PPV with Hearn claiming that the event will not even touch the expected buys.

In an interview with Boxing Social, Hearn predicted that the exhibition will garner between 2,000 and 4,000 PPV buys. Moreover, he even took shots at ‘Money’ stating that nobody even knew the 46-year-old was competing in an exhibition and questioned who was pumping money into these over-the-top exhibitions.
“Somewhere between two and four thousand if that. We’ve had some bad ones but I’ve seen a map. Someone posted a map yesterday. I mean, I don’t know anyone that even knows Floyd Mayweather is fighting on Saturday. Who is putting money up for these events?” said Hearn.

However, Hearn also claimed that this fight could serve as an opportunity for Chalmers to showcase his skill but will lack the audience to see his boxing pedigree.
