Floyd Mayweather has shared his valuable tips to unified female middleweight champion, Claressa Shields, which can help ‘T-Rex’ turn into a knockout artist. Mayweather is more famously known for his defensive skills rather than possessing one-punch knockout power. However, he could amass most of his professional wins via stoppages.
Mayweather was a smart pugilist, holding sheer fight IQ in his favor. It helped him knockout many of his opponents, even though he wasn’t a knockout hitter. Thus, Shields seems to be aware of the changes she needs to hold more KO wins under her name. 26-year-old Shields has a flawless boxing record of 11-0, in which she has earned only two stoppage victories. It’s high time she makes the changes and Shields appears ready for it.

“Like the knockouts don’t happen. I am just dominating girls 10 rounds and beating them up. But now we are working on settling down and getting the knockouts.”

A fight against Ema Kozin will demand fireworks from Shields. Boasting off a 21-0-1 record, Kozin has 11 KOs under her name. These numbers are clearly superior to Shields’ active resume. However, ‘T-Rex’ has been into professional combat for several years and has fought the best. Her active transition to MMA and Boxing, simultaneously, has also fetched her valuable lessons.
