Ali Tazeem was an 18-year-old boxing prospect from Wolverhampton, who had a promising professional career ahead of him. Moreover, he was even dubbed as the ‘next Amir Khan’. The young boxer was traveling in his Vauxhall Corsa on Merridale Road, during the early hours of April 17, 2022. The driver of the car lost control and hit a wall near the junction of Oaks Drive in Chapel Ash.
Tazeem tragically died on the scene. Meanwhile, the unnamed driver, also 18 years old, was taken to the hospital. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.
Tazeem had fought 51 times, losing just six of those bouts. And, he also won 15 international gold medals. It is worth noting that he had signed a professional contract with Probellum barely three weeks prior to his crash.
