Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather became the center of attention once again at the super-fight between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia. The former five-division champion was seen donning an extravagant accessory that caught the attention of everyone present. Mayweather was flaunting a diamond-encrusted hat, which was rumored to be worth $1 million.
Naturally, the hat caught the eye of many fans present in the arena and also across the world, with fans reacting to his headpiece. However, ‘Money’ has now come out and disputed the extravagant price tag associated with his hat and also reveal that it did not cost $1 million.

Floyd Mayweather reveals the actual price of his hat
Mayweather recently uploaded an Instagram story where he disputed the price of the hat. He claimed that although he did not know who started the rumor of the hat being worth a million dollars, this was not the price. Moreover, he revealed that the hat actually cost $30,000.
“I don’t know who started the rumor that my hat was a million dollars but it was 30k” he wrote. Although the price of the hat might not be a million dollars, it is still quite expensive. However, it is unsurprising to see ‘TBE’ spend money on extravagant accessories, given his previous purchases. This incident also adds to the long-standing reputation of Mayweather for embracing a lavish lifestyle.
Who made Floyd Mayweather’s now-viral hat?
Renowned celebrity jeweler Shuki Diamonds made the diamond-encrusted hat. The Los Angeles-based jeweler recently revealed that it took over one month to make the hat for Mayweather. In an interview with TMZ, he detailed how the hat was made and claimed that he had to source ‘invisible diamonds’ to complete the headpiece.

According to him, the process involved creating a mold, sandblasting it, and meticulously polishing it to achieve the desired perfection. However, he did give it to Mayweather free of charge given their relationship, which might be the reason its exact value was disputed.

Shuki also claimed that he would be able to sell the headgear for $5 million at an auction. But now that ‘Money’ has revealed that the hat might be worth $30,000, it might not be able to fetch a higher price. Regardless of the hat’s actual worth, Mayweather’s larger-than-life persona will certainly only add to the value of the hat no matter its initial cost.
