Is Floyd Mayweather's refusal to comment on Garcia's slurs a sign of wisdom or cowardice?

After the WBC expelled Ryan Garcia over his racist and anti-Muslim statements on X, the boxer from California penned Floyd Mayweather a two-word message. “Working hard @floydmayweather,” he had written. However, what is Floyd Mayweather’s opinion of Ryan Garcia’s controversial remarks? In his latest interaction with FightHype, ‘TBE” reacted to Garcia’s expulsion.

Well, Floyd Mayweather’s protege Curmel Moton returned yesterday against Nikolai Buzolin on the undercard of Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal II at Honda Center, Anaheim. On this occasion, interacting with Mayweather, FightHype referred to Garcia attaching the f-word to black people and Muslims. In his response, Mayweather, who has trained with Garcia in the past, neither corresponded to ‘KingRy’ nor directly dissented from the latter’s views.

You’re not going to get me involved in that. That’s not my thing,” stated Floyd Mayweather. “I’m here talking about Curmel. I want here to stay positive and talk about Curmel and what my fighters do, and me helping my promotions, family and promotions,” he began. In other words, Mayweather found Garcia’s situation immaterial to himself and his promotions.

Something negative, I don’t have nothing to do with it,” Floyd Mayweather concluded, maintaining a serious tone. Well, after Garcia expressed hatred towards Muslims and black people, Mauricio Sulaiman, the president of the WBC, strongly condemning Garcia, expelled the boxer from WBC. On the other hand, in a public statement, Garcia’s parents publicly declared that they dissented from Garcia’s views. Additionally, the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya made it known that he and his organization were taking exception to the boxer’s remarks.

However, as you see, Floyd Mayweather refrains from making any comments on the matter. He was rather excited to speak about his upcoming rematch against John Gotti III.
