Floyd Mayweather’s reflections during the interview were poignant and telling. “My uncle Roger and my dad, the media for so many years wanted them to go back and forth. But at the end of the day, I will continue to love my dad, embrace my dad with open arms,” he shared, highlighting the media’s narrative that never swayed his familial bonds. Despite external pressures, his love remained steadfast. Furthermore, he opened up about the loss of his uncle Roger, a significant figure in his life. “I miss my uncle Roger. I think today is the anniversary where he passed away,” Mayweather confessed, underscoring the emotional weight of the date.

His homage didn’t stop there. “I love my uncle Roger, I will always love my uncle Roger, I will always love my dad. I will always love my team,” Mayweather continued, painting a picture of unwavering loyalty and affection towards his family and support system. This sense of continuity extended to his aspirations for his descendants. “I will always push for my grandson and my children to be great,” he affirmed, signaling his commitment to their success and well-being.

However, Mayweather also acknowledged the challenges of parenting. “Even though sometimes they my children probably feel that I’m a little tough on them because I want them to be great,” he admitted, hinting at the high standards he sets. His ultimate goal? “Because anything can happen to me at any given day and I want them to know how to run a company, I want them to stand on their feet, and I want them to be the best,” Mayweather elucidated, stressing the importance of independence, resilience, and excellence for his children and grandchildren.
