Floyd Mayweather Pays Tribute to Dead Ex-Girlfriend in Poignant Message

Floyd Mayweather has paid tribute to his ‘angel’ ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris. The undefeated super-star posted an emotional message for her on the occasion of what would have been her 41st birthday. Despite their issues, Mayweather took the time to remember her.

Harris passed away on March 10, 2020, in an event that left the former champion heartbroken. He marked her birth anniversary on January 17 with a wish and a message for his late partner.

Ahead of his exhibition against Logan Paul, and amidst the training, Mayweather took to his Instagram to pay his tributes to his ex-partner. He first posted a picture of Harris with the caption, “Happy Birthday to my Angel in Heaven Gone but never forgotten. RIP.”

The legendary boxer then posted a picture of a bouquet next to her memorial on a wall and wrote, “I had to come see you for your birthday Josie. R I P my angel.”

This showed how much Josie Harris meant to the iconic boxer. He has even said that he would give it all up to get Josie Harris back. Such was the role she played in his life.

Harris met Mayweather when she was a young girl in 1995. She fell in love with the then-rising star and was with him throughout his rise to the top. The couple dated for 15 years until 2010. However, they had their fair share of controversies and issues throughout the relationship.

Despite this, Josie Harris is the mother to his three children and played an important role in the rise of the former champion. Unfortunately, the pair had to separate.

Tragedy struck in 2020, ten years after their split, when Harris was found dead in her car on March 10. This was an event that destroyed Mayweather; he spoke very fondly about his ex-girlfriend after her death. Thus, these things showed that even with all the controversies, Harris was an important figure for the former champion.
