Floyd Mayweather has had his fair share of beef throughout his career. The legendary boxer was known for his trash-talking skills outside the ring and played the role of a villain perfectly.
However, one of his most notable beefs was with grammy-winning artist Curtis “50-cent” who trolled Mayweather and also praised rapper Nelly.

The time 50-Cent trolled Mayweather
Back in 2019, rapper Cornell Iral Haynes Jr. better known by his stage name Nelly, posted a picture of him and Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend, Shantel Jackson on Instagram. The pair attended an event together and took a photo in which the rapper was standing behind Jackson in a suit while she wore a pink dress.

The ‘Many men’ rapper saw this as an opportunity to take shots at Mayweather as he commented on the post, writing “Fly sh*t, nelly you stole champ b**ch. He just mad at me, that little n***a hate you. LOL.” claiming that Nelly “stole” Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend. This was an attempt by 50 Cent to get on the nerves of Money, who was going through legal battles with Jackson during this time. However, the comments were later deleted.

Why did Floyd Mayweather and 50-cent beef?
It might seem strange today but Mayweather and 50 Cent were friends for a long time. However, their relationship took a turn for the worse after Mayweather was released from prison back in 2012. The rapper claimed that Mayweather owed him money, which led to a back and forth between the two marking the start of a long feud.
Since then this beef has taken a bizarre direction with Mayweather once claiming that the rapper had herpes or when 50 Cent claimed that Mayweather was illiterate and challenged him to read a page out of a Harry Potter book without stopping. Moreover, the rapper even went as far as challenging Mayweather to a fight. It looks like the relationship between the two is beyond repair at this point, and it doesn’t seem like they will make amends anytime soon.
