Floyd Mayweather, who is worth $1.2 billion, once stated in a press conference, “I own billion-dollar buildings, I own so much property, and I’m steady investing in different things. I’m invested in the tech world, I made a lot of smart investments.”
NBA legend Michael Jordan has some of the biggest investments and assets to his name as well. The most notable of them is the Nike Jordan series. The former NBA player is worth a staggering $2.2 billion and certainly has made some big investments through his massive income. However, Mayweather, who is far behind Jordan in terms of net worth, claims that he has billion-dollar investments himself.

Apparently, Mayweather is the richest boxer on the planet and has a net worth of $1.2 billion. Mayweather is among the few boxers who own their own promotions company. Back in 2006, he split with Top Rank and started staging his own fights.
Mayweather Promotions is a successful company today and has boxers like Gervonta Davis and Rolanda Romero, among others. Additionally, he owns a roller skate park in Las Vegas named Skate Rock City. Also, he is a car racing fan, and is the owner of ‘The Monet Team Racing’.
Michael Jordan and his floundering investments
Although ‘His Airness’ is retired from the sport, it hasn’t stopped him from becoming the richest athlete in the world. Along with basketball, Jordan is a huge golf fan, which urged him to own a golf course. ‘Grove XXIII’ is a private golf club in Home Sound, Florida owned by Jordan, and it hosts some of the most high-profile celebrities as its members.

Jordan also bought the NBA team Charlotte Hornets in 2010 for around $180 million. Interestingly, the team is now worth a staggering $1.57 billion. However, the NBA great agreed to sell a small stake in the team back in 2019.
