Floyd Mayweather Jr. went through trying times in his childhood. Dropping out of school, boxing became his sole focus. While his father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., couldn’t achieve much in terms of world titles and instead made his name as a trainer, his uncles, Roger and Jeff, were title holders. Hence the scion of a distinguished boxing family had to do better. But, as it turned out, he did more than that. Apart from his accomplishments as an amateur, including an Olympic medal, Floyd Mayweather Jr. won titles in five different weight classes. No wonder ESPN called him the pound-for-pound greatest boxer of the last twenty-five years.

Apart from the glory and name, Mayweather Jr. took home astonishing riches. The fight money that he won over the years totaled over a billion dollars. In 2018, Forbes declared him the world’s highest-paid athlete. So it shouldn’t be surprising that ‘Money’ Mayweather’s matches dominate history’s top-ten list of highest-grossing boxing matches.

Hence with a reported net worth of $450 million, Mayweather Jr. makes it a point to spend his hard-earned money to buy the best luxury offers. The boxing’s first billionaire is immensely popular over social media platforms. Hence he reaches out to millions of fans and followers, showcasing his opulent lifestyle.

While he has displayed keen business insight through well-timed investments in real estate and the fitness sector, Mayweather Jr. is equally known for his high-end collectibles, such as cars and jewelry. But there’s one more item for which his name begs special mention. Somehow, watches have always occupied a special place in Mayweather’s heart.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s Most Expensive Watch: Jacob and Co. Billionaire

Sometime in 2018, Floyd Mayweather Jr. revealed through an Instagram post that he had purchased a watch worth $18 million! “The Billionaire Watch” is made by high-end jewelry makers Jacob & Co. and has emerald-cut diamonds totaling 260 carats, with each stone weighing 3 carats.

The skeleton watch has a fifty-eight by forty-seven and a-half millimeter diameter and its thickness measure 12.3 millimeters. Reportedly he bought it from renowned Japanese jeweler Tadashi Fukushima.

“The Billionaire Watch” is not Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s exclusive timepiece purchased from Jacob & Co. He added “Jacob & Co. Royal” to the collection. The dial, bracelet, and case of the prominent (forty-nine-millimeter diameter) watch are all encrusted with ‘baguette-cut diamonds.’ The price of this exquisite model is estimated to be around $1 million.

The next Jacob & Co model in his collection is “Rainbow Tourbillon.” The nearly $2 million watch has a white gold case with 416 diamonds. Interestingly, the diamonds on the dial and those on the bezel, case, and bracelet are yellow and white, respectively. Additionally, at nine o’clock, the watch’s tourbillon becomes visible.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s Richard Mille collection

The next brand that constitutes Mayweather Jr.’s collection is Richard Mille. The prominent timepieces of the Les Breulex, Switzerland-based watchmakers include “RM 35-02 Tourbillon Rafael Nadal.” An outcome of a collaboration between the firm and tennis legend Rafael Nadal, the watch’s tourbillon doesn’t need manual intervention. Diamonds decorate the bezel of the piece gracing Mayweather Jr.’s wrists. Reportedly the price of RM 35-02 is roughly $135,000.

Another classic from the house of Richard Mille that stole the boxing legend’s heart is “RM 59-01 Tourbillon Yohan Blake.” Made in collaboration with Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake, the timepiece with Mayweather is surprisingly bereft of diamonds! It seems altogether; there are only fifty of these timepieces. The RM 59-01 reportedly commands a price of $620,000.

There’s one more Richard Mille watch Floyd Mayweather Jr. proudly dons, “RM 011 Felipe  Massa.” Diamonds cover the case and bezel of the titanium timepiece with a pink strap and a flyback chronograph. According to the website, wristenthusiast.com, the resale value of RM 011 is around $245,000.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s luxury Rolex collection

Rolex watches occupy a special place in Mayweather Jr.’s collection, along with other luxury brands. The model he purchased earlier in his career is “Rolex Sky-Dweller Ref. 326938.” Though no longer in production, this unique timepiece has a ‘month complication’ beside the regular date and second-time zone. It has golden dials and a white second time-zone ring at the center. The watch’s price in the second-hand market is around $48,000.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. reportedly started wearing a diamond-encrusted version of Sky-Dweller Ref.326938. According to wristenthusiast.com, Rolex avoids factory diamonds on the model; it seems that the former boxing champion got the piece on his wrist done at a jeweler’s. However, whether it’s the same timepiece or a similar model remains unverifiable. A bespoke Sky-Dweller Ref. 326938 reportedly demands $77,500.

Another Rolex model in ‘Money’ Mayweather’s collection worth a mention is the “Rolex Submariner Emerald White.” Priced at $320,000, this rare timepiece comes in a forty-millimeter diameter case comprising eighteen-carat white gold and a bezel covered with baguette emerald and diamond. Diamonds decorate the dial, and emeralds have been used for the indexes.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s Hublot collection

The Swiss watch-making firm was founded in 1980 and is quite popular among sports personalities across the globe. Hublot watches are renowned for their multiple functionalities. The “Hublot MP 05- LaFerrari Sapphire” that Mayweather Jr. possesses has a HUB9005 manual-wind tourbillon movement resembling a Ferrari engine. Along with the “engine gears,” vertically placed tourbillon stares you in the face. A solitary sapphire has been used to create the case. The Hublot MP 05 reached showrooms in 2016 and had a price of $575,000. In the resale market, it sells at around $545,000.

The price of Floyd Mayweather’s “Hublot Big Bang Unico Haute Joaillerie” is estimated to be around $1.1 million. The watch he purchased in Dubai reached retail markets a year before the LaFerrari Sapphire and featured 653 baguette diamonds weighing roughly 40.02 carats.

Finally, the Hublot team and Mayweather Jr. collaborated to launch “Hublot Big Bang Unico TMT Yellow Gold.” Only ten timepieces were made. Priced at $93,700, the watch has TMT (The Money Team) written over Hublot. While the yellow-gold skeleton watch has factory diamonds, the bezel has forty-eight baguette-cut and 378 brilliant-cut diamonds, respectively.

Other luxury watches owned by Floyd Mayweather Jr.

As expected, the Hublots, Richard Milles, and Rolexes dominate ‘Money’ Mayweather’s watch collection. But he has a few exemplary watch models that warrant attention worth every penny.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Rainbow

Though the price of Royal Oak Rainbow could not be confirmed, it seems that Mayweather Jr. got this timepiece custom-made by Eric Da Jeweler.

Be it the dial, bezel, crown, or bracelet – diamonds, rubies, emeralds, baguette-cut sapphires, and other gemstones, bejewel the watch.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15130

The Royal Oak Ref. 15130 commands $1.4 million in the retail market. Near-about 474 baguette-cut diamonds, totaling 47.20 carats, encrust the bracelet and case of this timepiece. On the other hand, extra 116 diamonds, worth 7.32 carats, adorn the dial. As a result, the total weight of the watch stands at 54.52 carats.

Made in collaboration with the Hollywood icon, diamonds decorate the stylish timepiece. Other features include chocolate brown subdials, numbered indices, and a tachymeter. However, the retail price remains unascertainable since it appears to be a limited edition series.
