The boxing world has descended at the iconic T-Mobile Arena of Las Vegas, Nevada. As Canelo Alvarez and Jaime Munguia undertake their much-awaited clash, wishes for them have started pouring in. However, Canelo received much admiration and well wishes from a rising name, Gervonta Davis.

Minutes before the main event began, DAZN the PPV partner for this clash posted visuals from backstage. In it, ‘Tank,’ now Abdul Wahid was seen hanging out with the Jalisco-based fighter. As the fighter braced himself in his black and blue boxing gear, Tank was seen in his usual hoodie, diamond jewelry, braids and a red cap.

The cordial respect that these fighters showed each other backstage might come as a shock to many, given that the two were embroiled in a small exchange of words not too long ago. After Tank defeated Ryan Garcia, he grew confident and claimed that he was the face of boxing. However, Canelo, who considers himself to be the of the position said in an interview, “I’m not retired yet, my friend…They can say whatever they want, but, you know, it’s not that easy. One fight don’t put you in that position. You need to do a lotta things.”

Fan cautions Gervonta regarding Floyd

A user joked about how rich Canelo is. He suggested Tank to catch up with Alvarez if he needed the ‘dinero’.

Another user highlighted how in a year the dynamics between the fighters seemed to have changed. The names who once took shots at each other are cordial and all smiles with each other.

A fan chimed in with references to the infamous ‘face of boxing’ fiasco. They highlighted that it was Canelo who is the face of boxing today, while Tank was merely a fan. Well, that must not go well with Davis…

Another user compared the two fighters. They noted that Canelo took on every challenge that came at him, while Tank deflected most of his big challenges. But then the latter could argue, “David Benavidez.”

Another fan remarked that Floyd Mayweather would not like seeing his once-close and mentee boxer, Tank spending time with Canelo, his former opponent. Well, now that Tank and ‘Money’ are beefing, will this video also churn some drama?
